Argentine star Lionel Messi is traveling with his American team Inter Miami after he was absent from his ranks in the last three matches, to Jamaica to face Cavalier in the second leg of the final price of the CONCACAF Football Cup, according to coach Javier Mascherano on Wednesday.
Messi missed the three victories of his team against his host Houston Dynamo 4-1 on March 2 in the league, and at his guest Cavalier 2-0 in the final price of the final, before sitting on the bench against Charlotte 1-0 in the league as well.
Mascherano, who left his countryman Jurrdo “Tata” Martino in training Inter Miami, said that caution about involving the winner of the Golden Ball was eight times due to the management of the matches, not the injury.
Speaking to the media before the team traveling to Jamaica, Mascherano, former colleague of Messi in Barcelona, said that the World Cup in Qatar 2022 will also take the trip: “Leo Messi is in the team’s list and will travel with the team to Jamaica. We will decide tomorrow (Thursday) what is the most appropriate for the match, will he start essential or will sit on the bench and enter later.”
“Today’s training with the team, and the atmosphere was great. We are happy to travel with us to Jamaica,” he added.
The match is expected to attract a large audience in Kingston on the 35,000 spectators.
