
A prominent Sudanese military commander revealed that the armed forces began the last stage of the elimination of the Rapid Support Forces, after their progress on a number of fighting fronts during the past few weeks, especially in the capital, Khartoum.
The commander of the armored weapons, Major General Dr. Rukn Nasr El -Din Abdel -Fattah, said in television statements today (Friday): The armored weapons forces were able to overcome rapid support, pointing out that they are working on several axes, adding, “We have now entered the third stage of military operations, and they destroy the remaining rapid support forces.”
He accused the rapid support forces led by Muhammad Hamdan Daglo, nicknamed “Hamidati”, of destroying civil, official and strategic capabilities in Khartoum, stressing that the army led by Abdel Fattah Al -Burhan, seeks to liberate Khartoum before the end of Ramadan.
Armored peace commander stated that the army worked to provide basic and security needs for citizens around the armored headquarters. He pointed out that it was evident from the nationals of Arab, African and Asian countries who were stuck in the middle of Khartoum.
The Sudanese army and allied groups in the past weeks managed to achieve important field gains more than a year and a half after the devastating war, which broke out in the middle of April of the year before last, and advanced towards the center of Khartoum, reflecting the course of the conflict.
The conflict resulted in the killing of tens of thousands and the displacement of more than 12 million people, and a crisis of hunger and displacement, which is the worst in the world, as the number of displaced people in North Darfur state alone reached about 1.7 million people, while about two million Sudanese faced a severe lack of food security, and 320,000 people suffered from famine conditions, according to the United Nations.
