The Portuguese coach of the English club Manchester United, Robin Amorim (40 years old), interacted with his team star, Danish Patrick Durgo (20 years old), who tried to persuade the referee of the Red Devils match against Real Sociedad, that a penalty kick in his interest was not correct, yesterday, Thursday, in the second leg of the European Football League final.
The French referee, Benoa Bastian, calculated a penalty kick for United, after Durgo fell inside the penalty area, but before they resort to the “VAR” referee video technology, the young Danish player went to the referee to tell him that there was no penalty, which was confirmed by the repetition.
Amorim said in a press conference after the match, in response to a question about whether he was proud of his players Durgo: “It is relative, it is the right behavior, I am proud of it, but if the result was (0-0) or we were losing, I do not know if I was going to provide the same answer (United 4-1 won the meeting).
It is noteworthy that Durgo joined the Manchester United team in the winter transfer market from Italian Lichy, and this was the only Amorim deal in his first Mercato after his Dutch vocabulary Eric Tin Hag, and the young Danish player formed a great danger to Real Sociedad team, and contributed to the red demons obtaining a penalty kick, carried out by Portuguese Bruno Vernandez successfully, as he was behind the Venezuelan player John Aramperro receiving a red card in the 63rd minute, knowing that United will face the French club Lyon in the quarter -finals of the Europa League.
