
In March 2026, Morocco will host the fifty -eighth session of the United Nations Economic Committee, and the African Finance, Planning and Economic Development Conference.
This announcement came, Friday morning, during the expert session for the fifty -seventh session of the African Economic Committee and the African Finance, Planning and Economic Development Conference, held in Addis Ababa from 12 to 18 March.
On this occasion, the Kingdom’s choice was approved to host this important conference unanimously and without any objection, which testifies to the renewed confidence in the experience and commitment of Morocco in organizing the major continental events.
This decision reflects Morocco’s firm and continuous commitment to enhancing African cooperation and economic and social development of the continent.
The 58th session of the conference will be held in March 2026 in Morocco under the slogan: “Growth by innovation: harnessing advanced data and technology to serve the economic transformation in Africa.”
Thus, Morocco renews its desire to contribute effectively to collective efforts to enhance comprehensive and sustainable growth in Africa, by employing its expertise and organizational capabilities to serve the continent’s development.
It is noteworthy that, last Wednesday, in Addis Ababa, Morocco was unanimously elected as head of the 57th session of the United Nations Economic Committee, and the conference of African Finance, Planning and Economic Development.
The choice of Morocco reflects the confidence of the member states in the leadership of the Kingdom and its commitment in favor of African economic governance, dynamic and comprehensive.
