Amid the persistence of the Israeli occupation in its violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, especially with the return of the crossings and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation and the electricity cutting, the Houthis announced the return of their military operations against Israel, in the context of what the group calls the battle of the chain of transmission, after it had suspended it after reaching the armistice agreement on January 19 last. A statement by the Houthi armed forces confirmed the day before yesterday, Tuesday, the resumption of the ban on the crossing of all Israeli ships in the Red and Arab Bahrain, Bab al -Mandab and the Gulf of Aden, and that any Israeli ship trying to break this ban will be targeted in the area of the announced Houthi military operations, and that this ban will continue until the reopening of the crossings to the Gaza Strip and the entry of aid and needs of food and medicine.
Assad belt: Our forces are ready to respond to any aggression targeting our country
The leader of the “Ansar Allah” group (the Houthis), Abd al -Malik al -Houthi, threatened, last Friday, to return the military operations of the Houthis against the Israeli enemy in the event that he is not committed to the introduction of aid to the Gaza Strip, giving a four -day period of mediators that ended last Tuesday evening. Al -Houthi justified his position that his group cannot watch the escalation and preventing the entry of aid to the Gaza Strip and return to starvation again, and that the Houthis must declare a situation.
The repercussions of the return of the Houthi military operations
The return of the Houthi military operations against Israeli interests in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden will restore military tension to the region, as it is expected that Israel will respond to the resumption of its military operation, which it started in July 2024, by targeting Houthi military and vital sites, and then called it the “long arm operation”, in which it faced several challenges, most notably the length of the distance of more than 2000 km, Also, the lack of intelligence information.
The return of the Houthi military operations against Israeli interests will put Yemen again against the Israeli raids, which are not unlikely that this time is wider in the target bank than the previous raids that targeted camps, weapons stores and vital locations, most notably the airport and ports of Hodeidah, the power plants in Sana’a and Hodeidah, Sana’a airport, and fuel tanks. It is also expected that the Israeli attacks will be more and more than before the result of a number of factors, most notably the stopping of Israeli attacks in Gaza and Lebanon, and the American position towards the Houthis after Donald Trump took power in America, as the Houthis ranked a global terrorist group just two days after receiving power, and imposing financial sanctions on a number of its leaders.
The return of the escalation comes after the strikes received by Iran’s allies in the region, starting from the losses that Hezbollah was exposed to after the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and the consequent reaching the ceasefire agreement and devoting the separation of the fronts, to the fall of the Bashar al -Assad regime in Syria, and the cessation of the attacks by Iraqi factions, whether from Iraq or Syria, on targets within the occupied Palestinian territories. Since November 2023, the Houthi group has launched attacks by ballistic missiles, the escalating aviation and marine boats against Israeli, American and British ships in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Arab Sea, as well as the occupied Palestinian territories in the context of what it calls the “promised and holy jihad and jihad battle”.
The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan 11) said, the evening of yesterday, that Israel raised the alert in the ranks of its air force, strengthened air defense systems, and fighter planes were deployed in the air against the background of fears of the Houthis launched attacks on Israeli targets using running planes and ballistic missiles.
The Palestinian issue is pivotal
Member of the Political Bureau of the “Ansar Allah” group, belt Al -Assad, told Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed that “the Palestinian issue for the Yemeni people is a central, pivotal and priority issue, and our premises in supporting our oppressed people trapped in Gaza religious, moral and humanitarian Gaza, and as long as the Israeli enemy did not commit to the armistice agreement, and restored the suffocating siege on our people in Gaza, the leadership in Yemen has given four days to re -open The crossings, the introduction of aid and the needs of the population in Gaza, however, the four days and the Zionist enemy have passed, still besieging (Gaza) and closing the crossings, and intentionally killing more than two million Arab Arab people with siege and starvation in this besieged sector, in light of a shameful Arab and Islamic silence and an international ignorance of this tragedy that exacerbates daily.
Rashid Mohammed: The Houthi militia will not hesitate to fight military adventures that may affect some neighboring countries
Al -Assad added: “That is why our religious principles, our moral and human values, and our Arab authenticity requires us to carry out the responsibility of military pressure on the Israeli enemy to break the siege on our people in Gaza, by preventing Israeli navigation from crossing across the Red Sea, Bab al -Mandab, the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea, so that humanitarian aid and the basic needs of our brothers in Gaza are allowed.”
Al -Assad indicated that the group’s forces have “military capabilities to implement what was promised by Mr. Abdul -Malik Al -Houthi, and what was issued in the statement of the Yemeni military spokesman, Brigadier Yahya Sari, and the operations will be in the path of preventing or targeting Israeli ships trying to cross.” He explained that “for the American or the British, or any forces trying to protect Israeli ships, or aggression against Yemen, for every modern event, and our forces are ready to respond to any aggression targeting our country or trying to prevent us from supporting our oppressed people in Gaza.”
For his part, political analyst Rashid Mohamed told Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed that the Houthis declaring the threat to resume military operations in the Red Sea and revitalize the internal fronts in the recent period, “a miserable attempt to respond to the American classification of the group as a foreign terrorist organization, and the sanctions that will be suffocating the Houthi militias, and strengthens the position, status and strength of the legitimate authority in Yemen.”
While Muhammad pointed out that Tehran “has become more dependent on the Houthis as an essential arm for it, especially after the fall of its papers in the Arab region, specifically Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Bashar al -Assad regime in Syria”, it considered that “the Houthi militias do not care about the interests of Yemen and Yemenis, and therefore it will not hesitate to fight military adventures that may affect some neighboring countries, with the aim of pressure to relieve US sanctions from them, but they are Losing. He concluded that “this time the confrontation could be different if the US administration gives adequate support to the Yemeni government forces for land progress and liberating the rest of the Yemeni regions and governorates from the control of the Houthi militia.”
