
The Saudi Commission for Data and Artificial Intelligence “Sayya” continues its efforts in supporting government agencies, to provide advanced digital services to pilgrims during the blessed month of Ramadan, which is witnessing intensity in the number of visitors and worshipers in the Two Holy Mosques.
These efforts come in response to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, aimed at developing the services provided to the guests of Rahman.
“Sayya” continues its continuous efforts to ensure the readiness of the technical structure of all border, sea and land border outlets, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to facilitate the procedures for entering pilgrims into the Kingdom through these outlets by preparing a national technical team that works throughout the hour with the agencies concerned with Umrah in all outlets in order to secure basic and reserve communication departments, and to ensure the continuation of service without interruption.
In the context of the support of the crowd management, “Sayya”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, represented in the Public Security Directorate, launched the “Basir” platform that relies on a computer vision system that uses artificial intelligence techniques in monitoring and analyzing the movement of visitors inside the Grand Mosque, including tracing crowds, discovering the movement in the opposite direction, and helping to find missing persons.
“Sayya” worked with the Ministry of Interior, represented in the Public Security, “Special Forces for Hajj and Umrah Security”, to develop a strategic partnership to develop a number of algorithms aimed at improving the service provided to the people of the Sacred House of God and the Prophet’s Mosque.
