The governor of Assiut had received a notification from the governorate’s operations room stating that a fire broke out in a clothing store on the Pastin Street in the Jenin Ayoub area in the city of Manfalut and extended to neighboring stores.
Immediately, civil protection was notified and 6 fire engines were paid to the scene, and 5 ambulances were paid, in addition to notifying electricity and facilities to take the necessary measures.
He immediately moved the governor of Assiut to the site of the fire, where he continued the work control of the fire, which resulted in the injury of 5 people with burns and suffocation, who were transferred to Manfalut Hospital, accompanied by Dr. Mina Emad, Deputy Governor and Accountant Adly Abu Aqeel, Secretary -General of the Governorate.
In a related context, the Governor, Undersecretary of the Social Solidarity Directorate, directed to limit all those affected by the fire and disburse urgent assistance to them, as well as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health to provide all the handcuffs of health care to the injured in the hospital and put them under observation until they recover, and the head of the Manfalut Center and City assigned to coordinate with the security services to find out the causes of the fire and take the necessary measures.
