
The Russian news agency “TASS” reported on Thursday, quoting Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, that the Russian operation to expel the Ukrainian forces from the Kursk region in western Russia entered its last stage.
On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the first time since the Ukrainian forces took control of parts of it in August.
Putin’s visit came after Washington asked him to consider the 30 -day ceasefire proposal, which is supported by Ukraine, and after Russian forces regained more lands in Korsk, forcing the Ukrainian forces to retreat and abandon the town of Soda.
