The Triton World Series, a world triathlon circuit, successfully completed the first season of its international expansion phase, after holding two stages in Brazil – Bahia and Rio de Janeiro – and one in Portugal. Now triathletes can prepare for the next season, which already has four stages confirmed for the 2025 Calendar: Salvador/BA (6/4), Portobello, Mangaratiba/RJ (29 to 31/8), Lisbon/Portugal (7/9) and the World Final (10/24 to 26). The new destinations and location of the 2025 Final will be announced in early January and will complete the official calendar.
“The Triton will once again have the official qualifying stages for the world championship, in Portugal and Brazil, in 2025. On January 9, the location of the first Triton world final will be revealed and the calendar will be announced with the announcement of the new stages, in new countries that will join the circuit. This promises to be a great year and we will continue to innovate,” says Paulo Leite, founding partner of the Tritón World Series.
According to Paulo, the balance of 2024 was positive, especially with Brazil’s debut on the world circuit. “The athletes and partners involved were unanimous in their satisfaction with the arrival of the Triton to Brazil. With the success of the first stages in the country (BA and RJ) this year, we look forward with great expectation and motivation to the stages of next season and the growth of the circuit worldwide,” highlights the Portuguese triathlete with a career of more than two decades in the modality.

Salvador opens the calendar in Brazil – For the second consecutive year, the capital of Bahia was chosen to open the stages in the country and it will be with TRITON 1 (traditional triathlon format with swimming, running and cycling events in one day), in Praia de Placaford. And to learn more details about the stage on April 6, to be held in three distance options (Sprint, Medium and Long), this Friday the 29th, starting at 7 p.m., the “TRITON Salvador Meeting” will be held with the organizers . and athletes at S2 Bike Shop (Rua do Jaracatiá, 138, Caminho das Árvores). The execution and production of the scenario is licensed to Digiartes, directed by Walter Kraus, also responsible for the meeting.
Bruno Dória, the first TRITON ambassador in 2025, has high expectations and is already preparing for the race. “Flattered by the invitation to be one of the ambassadors of this great international brand. “This meeting on the 29th will be very important so that everyone in Salvador can know what the race will be like, the deliveries, the structure and the details. Whoever can appear in S2 will be an incredible moment that Tritón offers, in advance, so that we can prepare in time,” concludes Dória.
