Caetano Veloso during the show –
There was no shortage of successes in the Salvador show on the Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia tour. The event, held on the night of Saturday the 30th, attracted thousands of fans to the Arena Fonte Nova, in Salvador.
In the middle of the brothers’ well-known axé and MPB setlist, there was also the evangelical song “Deus Cuida de Mim”. The song, by Pastor Kleber Lucas, had already been performed in other shows in Santa Marta.

Caetano thanked the religious leader for the music and reaffirmed his respect for the evangelical current. “This song shows the enormous importance of the growth of evangelical churches.”
A study by the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea), published in July 2023, noted the growth of religious establishments in Brazil in the last 20 years. Among the 124,529 establishments in the country in 2021, 52% are Pentecostal or Neo-Pentecostal evangelicals, leading the result, followed by 19% traditional evangelicals and 11% Catholics.
