Three auctions will be held on Thursday for family farmers, for a total of 4,754 contracts of 27 tons each. Three more contests will be held on Friday, this time of a broad nature, in which all rice producers and cooperatives can participate. There will be 18,518 contracts of 27 tons each.

For Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, the expiration date will be August 30 of next year. For Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso and Tocantins, the contracts expire on October 30, 2025. The sales values are also established according to the terms of each expiration date.
Pretto recalls that the Sales Option Contract is a kind of price insurance that gives the rural producer or his cooperative the right, but not the obligation, to sell his product to the government, at a future date, at a previously agreed price. .
