PM finds skunk greenhouse in Morro dos Macacos; a man is arrested
The Military Police located and deactivated a property intended for skunk cultivation in Morro dos Macacos, in Vila Isabel, North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The discovery occurred this Friday (29) during a patrol on Rua Senator Nabuco, where the police found a greenhouse equipped with specialized materials for the production of drugs. During the operation, a suspect was arrested and materials were seized.
Strategy to strengthen security
The action is part of a broad strategy led by the Peaceful Police Coordination (CPP), which seeks to prevent clashes between rival criminal factions and improve security in the region. The planning involved the integration of several units and the reinforcement of police surveillance in strategic areas of the community.
Parallel operation in Morro do São João
On the same day, another operation took place in Morro do São João, in Engenho Novo, focused on dismantling armed groups and freeing roads blocked by barricades. During the action, a man was arrested in possession of a gun and a radio communicator. Both incidents were sent to the 20th Police Station (DP).
