On his social networks, Adhanom, who was in the city due to the G20He thanked health professionals and called on his followers to take care of their health.
“I was discharged this morning and have returned to work. My sincere thanks to the health professionals for the excellent service provided and to all those who wished me the best,” thanked Tedros Adhanom on X, formerly Twitter.
The director general of the WHO also shared a reflection on valuing everyday moments.
“What saddens me most is not being able to keep my promise to pick up my daughter from school today, since my departure was postponed due to illness. Although it may seem like a small thing, these everyday moments are incredibly important,” he said.
At the end of the post, he reinforced the importance of self-care: “Please take care of your health, it is your greatest asset,” he said.
According to the medical report released by the hospital, he spent the night under observation, underwent all the necessary tests and was discharged this morning.
