Brazilian diplomats and ministers from the Lula government criticized, behind the scenes, the insult uttered by first lady Rosângela da Silva, known as Janja, against billionaire Elon Musk, owner of X.
Janja cursed the billionaire, who was a major supporter of Donald Trump’s successful campaign, during his participation in a G20 side event that addressed the issue of disinformation.
At that point, the first lady’s speech was interrupted by a sound glitch and she joked: “I think it’s Elon Musk.” Then he added: “I’m not afraid of you either. “Fuck you, Elon Musk.”

High-ranking diplomats Itamaraty They classified Janja’s speech as “unnecessary” and assessed that it has the potential to further disrupt the already likely difficult relationship between the Lula and Trump governments.
Musk, it is worth remembering, was announced by Trump on Tuesday (11/12) as the future head of the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) in his future government.
Asking for reservations, Lula’s ministers also criticized Janja. In the words of one influential presidential aide, the first lady “crossed the line” with that statement.
