The blackout affects homes and establishments in Niterói, São Gonçalo and Maricá

Many residents and owners of commercial establishments were left without electricity this Tuesday afternoon (12) in several municipalities of the Rio Metropolitan Region, such as Niterói, São Gonçalo and Maricá. The incidents have been reported since 1:00 p.m.

Through X, followers reported the problems they are experiencing due to lack of energy.

According to the concessionaire Enel, responsible for the energy supply in the municipalities, the problem occurred due to an incident at the distributor’s substation in Alcântara. According to the concessionaire, the distributor’s technicians are working to perform remote maneuvers on the electrical grid and reduce the number of affected customers, as well as carry out the necessary repairs at the substation.
