Caseiro is arrested on suspicion of killing a doctor and hiding his body on a farm

A 26-year-old caregiver was arrested this Monday (11), suspected of killing doctor Lea Cândida Valverde de Rezende, 70, and hiding her body in the farm that belonged to the victim, where she worked, in Sapucaia, Rio de Janeiro. . January.

The suspect told police where the body was hidden. The crime allegedly occurred on November 3 of this year after a disagreement between the victim and the caregiver, related to the collection of payments for services provided.

According to the Civil Police, the man said that on the day of the murder the doctor was riding a horse. The suspect pulled the victim by the hair and punched her three times in the head.

The victim did not resist and died at the scene. After committing the murder, the man took the body, wrapped it in a tarp and hid it on the victim’s property. He then fled to Cataguases, in Minas Gerais, taking the victim’s car and bank cards.

A work friend of Lea Rezende, upon noticing the doctor’s absence, reported his disappearance to the police. The case began to be investigated on November 6 and the man was located today.
