The event takes place simultaneously with the International Seminar on Culture and Climate Change, which will open on 11/04, at 9 a.m., with the presence of the Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes, and of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva. , of the Indigenous Peoples, Sonia Guajajara, Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues and the state secretaries.

More than 120 authorities are accredited for the meeting in the Bahian capital, including the Ministers of Culture of Spain, Germany, India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Angola, South Africa, the African Union, the Vice Minister of Russia, Vice Minister of Japan, Vice Minister of South Korea, Vice Minister of China, Vice Minister of Portugal and more than 20 international organizations such as UNESCO and UNCTAD.

During the G20, four thematic axes will be discussed: Cultural Diversity and Social Inclusion; Copyright and Digital Environment; Creative Economy and Sustainable Development and Preservation, Safeguarding and Promotion of Heritage and Cultural Memory.

The presentation will feature several guest artists, showing the diversity of Brazilian artistic expressions and taking a tour of the country’s cultural wealth.

The G20 Culture meeting in Salvador is organized by the Ministry of Culture, the OEI and UNESCO, and in collaboration with the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB).
