The Weeknd released, on Wednesday night (30), the long-awaited music video for the song “São Paulo”, made in collaboration with Anitta and presented by both during the singer’s last trip to Brazil, in September of this year. The song, which will possibly be on the Canadian’s next album, was widely publicized on social networks by the Brazilian, who even published a “pregnant” photo.
About the new song
The song has something in common in the work of both artists, which is the strong sexual appeal of its lyrics. The introduction of the song contains a fragment of the funk song “Bota na Boca, Bota na Cara”, then the rhythm involves a mixture of The Weeknd’s electronic pop with the rhythms of Anitta’s well-known Rio funk. The song is expected to appear on the singer’s next album, titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which does not yet have a release date, although it is scheduled to be released this year. Pre-orders for the album are now available.
