An accident that occurred at an amusement park in the La Aurora region, Ecuador, left ten people injured, six of them seriously, last Saturday (26). The toy’s movement suddenly stopped, causing the trams to break loose and fly away with the passengers still in their seats.
According to information from The New York Post, initial investigations indicate that the toy’s mechanical arms came loose, causing the trams to fall. Park emergency services were called and the victims were rushed to hospital.
Local authorities reported that the park was immediately closed and the attraction, which had its operating licenses up to date, was isolated for investigation. The organizers have promised to cover the medical expenses of all victims.
