Political analysts believe that the decision of Israel to resume the war on the Gaza Strip will not lead to the result that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his American ally seek, because the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) will not respond to pressure and will not be overlooked by the remaining paper, which is the paper of the Israeli prisoners who are being held in Gaza.
Israel had resumed the war on Gaza at dawn yesterday, and launched violent air strikes that resulted in the death of 429 people and the injury of 528 others, in the largest violation of the ceasefire agreement concluded by Qatar, Egypt and the United States last January.
The academic and expert on Israeli affairs, Dr. Muhannad Mustafa, believes that Netanyahu’s decision to resume the war was caused by American support and his endeavor to pressure Hamas in order to return to the proposal of the American envoy to the Middle East Stephen and Witkov, but by the Israeli conditions related to the release of half of the neighboring Israeli prisoners and the dead on the first day of the armistice and the rest of the rest on the last day if the political outputs are agreed Fire.
The option to resume the war on Gaza – Dr. Mustafa – adds is a strategic choice for Israel, stressing that the Netanyahu government took advantage of an opportunity to hinder negotiations to implement this option.
Regarding the wild operation that Israel waves, Dr. Mustafa see it as a complex operation, in the absence of a consensus on the war inside Israel, as Israeli society does not look at the current war as it was seen in the past, “and therefore it is possible that the land attack can be postponed.”
The first researcher at the Al -Jazeera Center for Studies, Dr. Mekki, believes that the decision to appeal the war aims to pressure Hamas in order to accept conditions that were not previously presented, but he believes that pressure will be reflected on Israel more than Hamas, “because military action has not and will not lead to the release of Israeli prisoners.”
On the American green light of Netanyahu, Makki believes that US President Donald Trump has been understood that Hamas lives under fire and pressure and that it is the principle of “peace through power” that can be accepted with what he is offered to, but that – any Trump – “he does not realize that Hamas no longer has anything to lose, and that it cannot overlook the prisoners’ paper without a real price. “
Makki suggested that Trump later reached the fact that military pressure could not lead to a result with Hamas.
On the options of Hamas and the Palestinian resistance, Makki confirms that any concession at this stage will be outside the required, and it will be calculated that it came as a result of the Israeli military attack on Gaza, noting that Israel in all cases will not stop killing the Palestinians.
Temporary procedure
According to the former US State Department official for Middle East Affairs Thomas and Rick, the path that Trump and his envoy want to release more prisoners and enter more humanitarian aid as a temporary measure until the end of Jewish holidays in mid -April, and this will allow negotiations to start the second stage of the prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
He added that Wittakov wanted Hamas to accept his idea related to the extension of the first stage of the agreement, noting that he was the one who made Trump agree to resume the Israeli war on Gaza.
He said that Washington believes that Hamas is the obstacle before a permanent peace and not Israel, and that Hamas should be excluded from the rule of Gaza, and revealed that “Witfouf held meetings with Arab leaders in this regard and there is no indication that they reached an agreement.”
According to Dr. Makki, Hamas rejected even the discussion on the issue of the exit of its leaders from Gaza, and stressed that “Hamas cannot end with war or deals.”
On the position of the European Union regarding the return of the war on Gaza, Younis Omar said: The European Parliament Speaker said that “Brussels condemned Israeli crimes yesterday”, describing what happened as a crime against humanity, and held the United States responsible for what happened yesterday, and called for respecting the ceasefire agreement and the release of all prisoners.
For his part, William Shabas, head of the United Nations Committee to investigate the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza, stressed that Israel has flaunted in a flagrant cease -fire on Gaza, and said that the aggression it exercises confirms that it does not want peace but rather wants to destroy the Palestinian people.
