In the context of livestock breeders’ preparations for the exploitation of the rains of this March to the beginning of the national herd recovery workshops after the decision to suspend the slaughter of this year, the turnout of a group of butchers on the female livestock raises many questions.
Professional sources confirmed within the data that Hespress from the butchers in the capital Rabat and the Ain Batash region, in the areas of Benslimane, confirmed that the female livestock was slaughtered with the approved massacres.
Professional sources in the sector suggest that this demand is continuing in light of the “butchers avoiding the acquisition of the male livestock that were equipped for the Eid al -Adha due to the large size, which is not suitable for daily sale;
Zakaria, a butcher in the capital, Rabat, said that “the slaughter of female livestock continues in the new regional massacres according to its usual levels, according to the last toll of slaughter late last week.”
The butcher of Ain Batash also revealed the continuation of the slaughter of the female livestock, which was used in its usual form today, Monday.
In the city of Casablanca, Hisham Al -Jawabri, the regional writer of wholesaler red meat dealers, confirmed that “the massacres in the city have not yet reached any decision that prevents the slaughter of female livestock.”
Al -Jawabri stated that the slaughter of this category of livestock is not high in the city after the abolition of Eid al -Adha, according to what was recently surveyed, noting that “there is a few in the number of female heads currently.”
The spokesman suggested that livestock breeders have stopped selling them by looking at the current rains, which “constitutes an opportunity to prepare the herd at the lowest costs where the natural feed is available.”
In an interview with Hespress, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fishing, Village Development, Water and Forests revealed that “the number of females that gives birth from 11 million heads in 2016 to 8.7 million heads in 2024.”
On the other hand, Alaa Al -Sharif Al -Asri, a livestock breeder in the city of Al -Qasr Al -Kabeer, explained that “before the abolition of Eid al -Adha, the butchers were competing to buy female livestock due to the high cost of males.
Al -Asri added that these stores have a sale policy that is difficult to offer male livestock that was intended for Eid al -Adha. Its size is very large and often includes a quantity of fat.
The same spokesman continued: “This prompted a number of butchers to go to female livestock, despite a decrease in male prices.”
With the rain, it was observed, according to Al -Asri, a recent increase in the price of a small livestock, given the pursuit of breeders to exploit the availability of natural feed for the development of the herd of males.
The aforementioned livestock called for “the mind of slaughtering female livestock”; Looking at the difficulty of preventing the butchers from going to it completely, and the possibility of this to raise the prices of red meat again in the event of frequently heading towards the male livestock.
