The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced late yesterday (Sunday) that a group of Hezbollah militia, through an ambush, was kidnapped by three members of the Syrian army on the border with Lebanon, confirming in a statement published by the media office of the Ministry, that the kidnapping occurred near the Zeta Dam, west of Homs, before they took them to Lebanese lands and liquidated them.
The Syrian News Agency, SANA, quoted the ministry as saying: We will take all necessary measures after this dangerous escalation by the Hezbollah militia.
A Syrian security source had said in press statements that clashes have been taking place since yesterday evening on the Lebanese border between forces from the Syrian Ministry of Defense and Lebanese militants, indicating that Hezbollah militia penetrated inside the Syrian border, killed 3 fighters of the Syrian Ministry of Defense, and worked to withdraw their bodies into the Lebanese border.
He pointed out that the Lebanese army surrendered through the Lebanese Red Cross the Syrian authorities at the Jossi crossing, the border bottom, the bodies of the three fighters who were found near the town of Al -Qasr yesterday afternoon, and the Lebanese authorities did not issue an official statement on the incident.
It is noteworthy that Hezbollah was the strong ally of the regime of Bashar al -Assad and participated in killing and torturing the Syrians for the past ten years, and former Hezbollah militia leader Hassan Nasrallah has been directing its gunmen to kill the Syrians, and after the fall of Assad, that militia resorted to infiltration operations into the Syrian interior, carrying out attacks and trying to smuggle prohibitions such as drugs and others.
