Tehran– In a development that transmits messages outside Yemen, the American army launched, last night, raids on the locations of the Ansar Allah group (the Houthis) in the capital, Sanaa, Saada and Al -Bayda, by order of President Donald Trump, who vowed the group with hell, and said that any “terrorist force” will not prevent American ships from sailing freely.
This comes after the Houthis announced that they will resume targeting Israeli ships in the marine corridors in the region in response to the prevention of the entry of aid to the besieged Gaza Strip, after their attacks were suspended after the ceasefire agreement entered into force in January.
In a remarkable development, the American side went away this time in considering Tehran responsible for the Houthi behavior, as American positions focused on what it called “Iranian support for the Houthis” and described the process as a message to God’s verses in Tehran.
For his part, Trump described the Houthis as “Iranian -backed criminals”, and warned the latter not to continue its support for the Yemeni group, saying that “if Tehran threatens the United States, America will take full responsibility, and we will not be kind in this regard.”
The Iranian response
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakji was quick to remind the American opponent that Washington has the right to “dictate” its will on Tehran’s foreign policy, and called – in his post on the X platform – the United States to “stop killing the Yemeni people.”
In the context, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ismail Baqi, condemned the American and British aggression against Yemen in the strongest terms, and considered it a “flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international laws” and that it comes in support of the genocide of the Palestinian people.
Military, the Commander -in -Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, General Hussein Salami, denied any role for his country in organizing or developing the policies of the Resistance Front, including the Houthis in Yemen, stressing that they “make their strategic and operational decisions themselves.”
Salami warned- in a speech in front of a crowd of the Revolutionary Guards cadres- “Iran’s enemies that any threat turns into action will face a strict, firm and destroyed response on our part,” adding, “We will not start wars, but if we threaten any party, our response will be decisive and destiny.”
Smart step
Iranian observers see a smart step in a smart step that avoids the political and legal repercussions of the Houthi group against American and Israeli interests in the Red Sea and refutes regional accusations of taking Iran to take the Yemeni ally tool to target its competitors, not to mention the unleashed of the Houthis by targeting American interests in the Red Sea.
The coordination of the American position aimed at linking the behavior of the Yemeni side to Iran’s policies, practically attached to what was stated in Trump’s message to the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in which he was chosen between negotiation or the use of the military option in the event that an agreement is not concluded that prevents Tehran from having nuclear weapons.
American positions seem very openly by linking the Houthi behavior to the Iranian side and demanding the end of what Washington considers Iranian support for the Houthi group, and it is commensurate with media leaks of Trump’s message to the Iranian guide and his demand to stop Tehran’s support for the resistance factions, as a pre -agreement for any agreement on the nuclear file.
Vulnerable
For his part, the former Iranian ambassador in London, Jalal Satanian, reads the American attack on Yemen in the context of the policy of the stick that Trump raised since his victory in the presidency 2024 over many countries and eastern and western powers, explaining that after his failure to deport the residents of the Gaza Strip or to solve the Ukrainian crisis, Trump found in the Yemeni scene the weakest link to present his muscles in the Middle East.
Speaking to Al -Jazeera Net, the former Iranian diplomat indicates that attacking Yemen comes to intimidate other resistance factions and warn them of the consequences of resuming its operations against the Zionist entity, explaining that Trump is betting on the normalization of some Arab countries its relations with Tel Aviv to integrate the latter in the region and eliminate the Palestinian issue.
He concluded that Trump intends to use qualitative armament to violate the fortifications in Yemen to send a message to the Iranian side that it can be used again in the region, similar to the repetition of the assassination policy against the Houthi leaders, which the Israeli entity had previously applied to the leaders of the resistance in both Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

Maximum
Observers believe that the American attack on Yemen was neither new nor unique, as Sana’a had previously been subjected to similar American, British and Israeli attacks, and it was assumed that it had expected it before announcing the resumption of its operations in the Red Sea, and that it had prepared for it a response or responses that a segment of the Iranians believe that the next few days will be revealed.
For his part, the Iranian researcher in security affairs, Muhammad Qadri, considers that the attack on Yemen is directed to Tehran before targeting the Houthis operations in the Red Sea, and that it comes in the context of the policy of maximum pressure that Trump has resumed on Iran to force it to sit at the negotiating table.
In an interview with Al -Jazeera Net, Qadri believes that the Iranian frigidity in dealing with Trump’s recent message to the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has disturbed the White House, who explains the Houthis’ announcement of the resumption of their operations in the Red Sea in response to his demand for Tehran to cut off its support for the resistance factions.
In the opinion of Qadri, the military attack on Yemen and the American accusations of Tehran of inciting the Houthis will negatively be reflected on what Washington relies on the gateway to the policy of exchanging messages with Tehran, adding that the quality and how the Yemeni response to the American attack will define the subsequent American steps in the region.
The same spokesman ruled out that the Yemeni side would stop its operations in the Red Sea before breaking the siege on Gaza, stressing that Tehran and Sana’a will consider any reduction or stopping operations in the Red Sea a weak message that may increase Washington boldness to persist in launching other attacks on their sovereignty.
