
In the celebration of the family of International Women’s Day, and on the fiftieth anniversary of the departure of the “Planet of the East”, Umm Kulthum, the literary and cultural salon of Lebanon’s casino witnessed an exceptional evening that was performed by the “singing poem”, Wahba, which was manifested in the most beautiful songs of Umm Kulthum, as well as in the package of songs for the big Arab singing who lived “the six”.
With her voice, which reduces times of imprisonment and beauty, she stuck to Wahba in the spaces of singing and the Sultanate, accompanied by a wonderful music band led by Maestro André Al -Hajj, and added a magic over the night. Wahba also presented poetry stations with her unique theatrical style, highlighting writers and poets from Lebanon and the Arab world, so the evening came as an integrated artistic painting in which the diamond voice was married to the word, and music with a deep sense.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, and witnessed a remarkable official and cultural presence. The Director General of the Ministry for Cultural Affairs, Dr. Ali Al -Samad, attended the representative of the Minister of Culture, Ghassan Salama, who gave a speech in which he praised the gift of Wahba and its creative and inspiring artistic mission for future generations. He also praised the efforts of the literary and cultural salon of the Casino Lebanon in reviving this distinguished and distinguished event.
In a desirable honorary gesture, Roland Khoury, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Casino Lebanon, presented a appreciation shield for the “theater priests” striving, Wahba, a token of love and valuation of her career that influenced the artistic scene in Lebanon and the world, and because it “was surprised in the spaces of creativity.”
With the conclusion of the ceremony, the large audience stood up, surrounded by warmly, dazzling with performance that only resembles itself, calling for more, on a night that will remain in the mind of eternity.
