“Qatif”, Sameh Hussein

The Egyptian actor Sameh Hussein chose a different way to achieve his stardom during the month of Ramadan, amid the crowding of satellite channels and show platforms with a huge number of series and programs similar to ideas and faces. Sameh launched his own channel on the YouTube platform, where his Ramadan program “Qatayef” presented since the beginning of the month of fasting, and he played the role of the writer and director, so he met great success in record time, as the number of followers of the “Qattev” account on the X platform (formerly Twitter) exceeded 200 thousand followers, and the number of subscribers in his YouTube channel reached 300 thousand subscribers in less than two weeks.

The “Qatif” program is characterized by its short episodes, which ranges between five and seven minutes, which makes it suitable for the audience, which is looking for fast and useful content. The episodes are a varied mix that combines human development and real societal issues; This unique mixture made the program admire the followers who praised its smooth style and the performance of Sameh Hussein’s calm and simple. Sameh Hussein’s simple style and his Egyptian features, which are devoid of cost to attract a large number of viewers, contributed to promoting content automatically and without free free publicity; “Qatif” was not just an entertainment program, but rather – in the eyes of the viewers – became an artistic and cultural initiative aimed at providing meaningful and beneficial content to the public in Ramadan, which reflects Sameh Hussein’s ability to excellence and provide what is appropriate for the needs of the public at the present time.

Sameh Hussein holds a law on law from Ain Shams University, a leave in the arts department of the theater, the Division of Representation and Director from Helwan University, and the graduate of the first batch of the theater workshop at the Artistic Creativity Center in the Egyptian Opera House. He worked in more than a hundred and fifty plays between acting and directing, and worked as a director of many years, until his starting point was in the Egyptian series “Ragel and Six Stat” in 2007, then he participated in many films, until the absolute championship in the TV drama in 2009 in the series “Abbouda is a brand registered”, and it was his first cinematic championships in the movie “February 30”, but he did not achieve the expected success.
