Occupied Jerusalem- Israel was silent about the statements of US President Donald Trump, during which he declared that “no one will expel any Palestinian from Gaza”, unlike the plan to displace the Gazans and settle the majority of them in Jordan and Egypt, and to turn the Strip into “Riviera Middle East”, during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in the White House last February.
This silence was reflected at the level of the government coalition and the opposition camp behind the scenes of the divergence of positions between Washington and Tel Aviv, everything related to the issue of the day following the war on Gaza, as well as prompted Trump to settle through a comprehensive exchange deal and reconstruction of the sector, unlike Netanyahu’s approach, which adopted a deal in stages to prolong the war.
And Trump’s new statements carried multiple messages to the Israeli interior, and the countries of the Middle East, especially as they come after the “extremist” Israeli right declared, through the Minister of Finance in Salail Smotrich, the establishment of a new office to supervise the mass displacement of the people of Gaza, and thus the relapse of the right -wing of the transmission and settlement plan in the sector.
Saddam’s introduction
It also coincided with a meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the Emirates, and Hussein Sheikh Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, with Stephen Wittouf, the American envoy for the Middle East, to consult on the Cairo plan for the reconstruction of Gaza.
Contrary to the official silence in Tel Aviv, the readings of Israeli analysts were crowded regarding the indications of Trump’s statements and the efforts of the White House in a comprehensive settlement and deal, by release of all detainees at once, which was considered by all observers a prelude to the clash between Trump and Netanyahu, who is afraid.
Avi Yiskarov, the Israeli journalist specializing in Arab and Palestinian affairs, says that Trump’s statements are eliminating the Israeli right -wing plans for the savager and restoring in Gaza. “So, suddenly, in the blink of an eye, it seemed as if Trump’s plan to displace the Palestinians from Gaza died before it was even born. This is a real reason for the anxiety of the Netanyahu government.”
In an article on the website “Wi -Net”, he continues, “It is not clear whether Trump’s statement was born in the same way that the collective displacement plan was born about a month ago, that is, without planning and without warning.”
Yisharov expects opponents of the displacement plan, as well as its supporters, will witness many surprises in the coming months, “because Trump is still unexpected, and it may return to the idea of displacement and then retract it, every few months, which requires Israel to return to talk and put forward more realistic plans on the future of Gaza.”
“In fact, the statements and policies of the US President raises the concern of the Netanyahu government, while Trump talks about the absence of any Palestinian from Gaza, the foreign ministers of the Arab countries – in Doha in the envoy and Witkeov – met behind the Egyptian initiative to resolve the crisis in Gaza, while Israel does not present a realistic plan for the next day, and waving the resumption of the war.”
submission
In the absence of any realistic Israeli proposal on the future of Gaza, Etamar Aitkar, the political analyst, suggests that Trump may impose on Netanyahu the Israeli foreign policy, especially in the Middle East region, in everything related to the decision of peace or war and the exchange of exchange with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), pointing out that all evidence shows that Trump is the owner of the separation of Israel.
Under the title “A partner or owner of the house? Honeymoon with Trump, who may turn upside down for Netanyahu,” Ayden wrote an article in the newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth”, during which he reviewed Trump’s dictates to Israel with everything related to Washington’s policies in the Middle East, the future of Gaza, and pushing the end of wars in order to return to the path of normalization.
Aykhr explained that Trump, who is aware of the interests of Israel, is pushing for a comprehensive exchange deal, and launched direct negotiations between the United States and Hamas, and re -presenting the debate about the redrawing of the borders with Lebanon, contrary to the policy adopted by Netanyahu during the war period. He said, “Netanyahu agrees to surrender to all Trump’s demands, who want the Israeli Prime Minister to be,” he said.
Aevener believes that Netanyahu is “forced” at this stage to make decisions that he did not want, because there are those in the White House imposing it, saying, “Israel is subject to the American agenda and accepts Trump’s demands against its will, and Netanyahu is also aware that if he refuses, he will meet what Ukrainian President Volodimir Zellinski received.”
A comprehensive deal
The same reading was reviewed by Eitan Bin Eliao, the former Israeli Air Force commander, saying that Israel focuses at this stage on the return of detainees, which was previously considered a secondary issue for the Netanyahu government, which is under “light” pressure from the Trump administration to complete the second stage of the deal.
In an article on the website of the Israeli Channel 12, he adds, “However, the second stage of the agreement and the exchange deal, is a comprehensive and complex process, and includes many regional and international partners, and requires time, leadership and managing a large -scale international project, and the condition for the success of the deal, is that both parties are already interested in implementing it.”
“The time will not be long until we see public pressure from the American administration on Tel Aviv, and therefore the Israeli government must cooperate with Witkeov and support its steps and avoid the clash, otherwise, the renewal of the fighting may be possible, which poses a serious threat to the life of the detainees, and Israel may find itself involved in imposing a military rule in Gaza, for an unknown time.”
