If all days with eyes are characterized by their slow rhythm, then the nights of Ramadan witnessed a tireless movement and a noticeable vitality, the transformation of green squares and public spaces into a destination for hiking and entertainment.
The city of El -Ayoun, the largest of the Moroccan Sahara, is now available on about 77 public squares equipped with the necessary facilities, distributed over various residential neighborhoods or close to the main streets of the city.
Thanks to its unique design, harmonious public lighting, and diverse vegetable cover, these spaces have become preferred places where the population heals, from all age groups, to renew activity and hiking with friends or family members.
These arenas also include proximity stadiums, children’s play spaces, and sports equipment for lovers of individual outdoor sporting activities.
The inhabitants of El -Ayoun, the capital of the southern regions of the Kingdom, which is characterized by its nightlife, can today pride in the aesthetic of these public squares, which enjoy their atmosphere until late at night.
Among these arenas is the “Umm Saad” square, which is very popular among families, where an exceptional night atmosphere prevails after breakfast. This square, which is known as families and youth, extends over an area of 7 hectares, and includes in particular the corridors, seats and green spaces, prayer halls, fountains, lighting surrounding all their pillars, and specials for people with special needs, in addition to health facilities.
The same night atmosphere experienced by the “Al -Mashour” square, which extends over an area of 9 hectares, where this place is crowded during this blessed month with the local population and visitors wishing to take a break, enjoy the fresh air and change their daily lifestyle.
Among the recently rehabilitated public squares in El -Ayoun, the “Hashisha” square, which extends over an area of 3 hectares, which is witnessing unparalleled demand during Ramadan nights. This space features a green space that spans an area of 20.700 square meters, and is available on two proximity and parking stadiums.
The collective actor, Fatima Dawood, confirmed in a statement to the Maghreb News Agency, that public spaces have become the most attractive places for residents and visitors of the eyes after breakfast, in order to spend enjoyable moments with family and friends during the holy month, also praising the quality of the facilities and equipment that these places have.
For her part, Menna Laminah, who is also a collective actor, indicated that the ideal design and location of these spaces encouraged many people to go and enjoy fun moments with tea rituals and the “sick” game, praising the great efforts made by the local authorities to improve the urban scene of the city and the living conditions of citizens.
The city of El -Ayoun, which crowned in 2023, succeeded in the fourteenth edition of the Sustainable and Flexible City Award, in making its public squares and green spaces the ideal place to spend Ramadan evenings in an atmosphere of joy and festive.
