A new initiative at Mohamed V University in Rabat encourages the interest of Moroccan students in cinema, as it announced the organization of a first session of a cinematic festival that honors the university film.
In a statement to the electronic newspaper Hespress, Abdullah Al -Sardawi, professor of cinema at the National High School of Art and Design, said that “the festival in its general perception is based on short films for university students and graduates of the higher institutions of cinema and audiovisual, a demonstration that leans on a new perception launched by the college in line with the first master opened for cinema.”
The same spokesman continued: “Therefore, the cinema was given this opportunity. It is also planned to open a movie club, after the first edition of the University Film Festival, which is expected to be organized by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Rabat, between 28 and 30 May.
During the three days of the date of the programmer, as well as cinematic shows that professors, critics, directors, scenarios and professionals in cinema, two seminars, one of which are pedagogical and the other is cognitive, as well as workshops for the scenario, narrative, image, and sound.
