Two political analysts saw that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) threw a “ball of fire” against Israel and worsened from its internal dilemma, by responding to the proposal it received from the brokers, and ensured the approval of the release of the Israeli soldier, Alexander Alexander, who holds American citizenship and the bodies of 4 dual nationalities.

Commenting on this development, the researcher and political analyst Saeed Ziyad said that Hamas tried to dismantle the dilemma facing negotiations and overcoming the Israeli narrative, by approving the basic presentation of Adam Bouleer, the envoy of US President Donald Trump’s special affairs of prisoners, which the brokers presented last night.
He explained that “the approval of Hamas is approval of intentions and not procedural approval, that is, it agrees if the issue is linked to the negotiations of the second stage of the prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.”

In his expectation of the nature of the Israeli response to Hamas’s response to the proposal of the brokers, the academic and expert in Israeli affairs, Dr. Muhannad Mustafa, said that Israel will deal with the situation with great caution, explaining that it went to negotiations as it puts the proposal of the American envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkev, and talks about a limited truce with the release of a group of Israeli prisoners, in exchange for the extension of the ceasefire in Gaza.

In the context of the Israeli position, the Jerusalem Post quoted an Israeli official as saying: “The Hamas proposal to release hostages with American citizenship aims to sabotage negotiations.”
In the opinion of the researcher and political analyst Ziad, “Hamas threw a ball from fire to the Israeli side,” noting that the internal dilemma of the Israeli occupation will worsen, especially since “American rapprochement with Hamas may dismantle any American support for Israel and remove the specter of the return of the war to Gaza”, and because “the key to the development of negotiations is in the hands of the Americans.”
Adam Bouler, the US President’s envoy for Prisoners’ Affairs, had previously met senior Hamas officials in the Qatari capital, Doha, without Israel, to hold talks on the release of Israeli prisoners detained in Gaza, including 5 Americans.
It is noteworthy that in early March, the first phase of a ceasefire agreement and the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel ended, began on January 19, by Qatar and Egypt and supporting the United States.
