Hamas spokesman Abdel -Latif Al -Qanoua told Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed today, Friday, that the movement’s approval to release the Israeli -American soldier, Idan Alexander, came in the context of “pushing for the completion of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement with the Israeli occupation.”
Today, Friday, Hamas announced its response to a proposal submitted to it from the mediators, which included the release of Alexander, in addition to the bodies of four others of dual nationality. Al -Qanouk told Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed, “The brokers are making unremitting efforts to reach an agreement, despite the occupation’s delay, and his attempt to disavow the agreement concluded” last January. Hamas spokesman stressed that the attempts of the Prime Minister of the Occupation Government Benjamin Netanyahu to disavow the agreement and fail him “will not succeed”, expressing his hope that the results of the negotiations will lead to ensuring the implementation of all the stages of the agreement consisting of three stages, and signed by Egyptian and Qatari mediation.
He stressed that the Hamas movement is working with brokers to compel the occupation to complete the three stages of the agreement, in order to achieve a comprehensive withdrawal, a permanent ceasefire, and the reconstruction of the sector after more than 15 months of the devastating extermination war. For the second week in a row, the Israeli occupation closes the sector crossings, and its people are deprived of basic needs such as food, medicines, and fuel needed to provide drinking water and daily consumption, as well as almost daily killings.
The number of martyrs who have risen since the beginning of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza is estimated at about 140 martyrs, according to the statistics of the government media office, where some of them were targeted by air strikes, in addition to sniping and shooting operations. Since last Tuesday, Doha has been witnessing meetings in the presence of an Israeli delegation, along with the US President Steve Whitcom’s envoy, to reach a vision with which the exchange deal is completed, and the two parties, Israel and Hamas, were paid to move forward in completing the agreement.
