12 people were taken to hospitals after a plane belonging to the American Airlines landed at Denver International Airport, on Thursday, and the outbreak of fire, prompting the passengers to use inflatable skipper for rapid evacuation.
A publication of Denver International Airport on the “X” platform reported that all the people who were transferred to hospitals were slightly injured.
The flight No. 1006, which was heading from Colorado Springs Airport to Dallas Fort Worth Airport, transformed its path to Denver and landed safely around 5:15 pm (23:15 GMT), after the crew reported the vibrations of the engine, according to the US Federal Aviation Administration in a statement.
While the plane moved towards the position allocated to it, one of its engines, a Boeing 737-800, caught fire, according to the Aviation Administration.
The photos and videos published by the media showed passengers standing on one of the plane’s wings while surrounding the smoke with the plane. The Federal Aviation Administration said that the passengers came out using inflatable skis.
It is noteworthy that the United States has recently witnessed a series of accidents and air disasters, which raised concerns about the safety of air travel, although the flight is still a very safe transportation.
