
The Castle of the village of Qayyar is one of the archaeological sites in the Jazan region of the Kingdom, and it is located in Jabal Khashir in Al -Daud Governorate, dating back to almost two years, and is characterized by its construction and hope, which reaches approximately 20 meters.
The Qayyar Castle consists of four towers; Two square shape, two cylindricals, and both shapes are distinctively determined in terms of construction and architectural formation and the degree of immunization called “Al -Muttoul”, the castle was built from the domesticated local stones, and from the juniper wood, while the ceiling was built of wood and small stones with mud, and a quantity of dirt and gravel, and it has small windows for monitoring, and all the village homes were built from Different (square, rectangular and circular).
The main building of Qayyar Castle is a large room, its walls are straight and turned at the corner, and it has a cylindrical coral of shape, each of which is the length of ten floors, and the village of Qayyar does not contain any inscriptions or writings.
It is currently affiliated with the Al -Zaghli tribes from Bani Malik, which is an archaeological tourist site that many visitors and interested in; By virtue of its distinctive location overlooking the Vereki Valley and running water throughout the year.
