The Deputy Governor of Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region reviewed the work of the bodies submitted to the people of the Sacred House of God during Ramadan, and the work that will be carried out during the remainder of the holy month.
The committee touched on the latest developments related to the upcoming pilgrimage plans, and reviewed the projects of the “Kadana” company in the holy sites, which is to establish rest areas for pilgrims along the pedestrian paths to cover an area of approximately 28 thousand square meters between the sacred feelings, the project to construct and develop stripes (drinking water refrigerators), especially on the King Abdulaziz Road and King Fahd Road, the pedestrian road in Muzdalifah, rehabilitation of 400 drinking water. The need to ensure the ease of arrival of pilgrims to it, and the establishment of a network of emergency centers and first aid with about 15 units in strategic locations along the path; To meet the basic first aid needs for pilgrims, and to provide logistical aid, such as water, snacks and instructions for pilgrims. The projects (Path of Feelings – Second Phase) included the development of an area of 170 thousand square meters in the Mixel Path, the implementation of rubber lands, the provision of green spaces, the addition of urban brushes elements, such as: (seating chairs, water stripes, lighting columns, umbrellas, and spray fans), and the development and construction of water courses.
The projects included the starting centers of emergency and first aid in Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat, at about (71) locations along the pedestrian paths; To meet the basic first aid needs for pilgrims, provide logistical aid, in addition to developing spatial counseling – (towards Mina) aimed at developing roads and streets in Mina hair, and dividing them in colors with guiding panels in the same color of the road and different areas; This makes it easy for pilgrims to know the ways to go and return to their sites, and helps the concerned authorities in managing operational plans.
The committee discussed a number of other topics on the agenda, and took the necessary recommendations.
