
The Association for the Conservation of Grace in the Madinah region, in cooperation with the General Authority for the Prophet’s Mosque Affairs, continues its efforts to preserve the breakfast surplus in the Prophet’s Mosque through employees and volunteer teams.
The association’s efforts through its initiative come to last for the third year in a row in the Prophet’s Mosque, which seeks to reduce food waste and enhance the benefit from the surplus of fasting breakfast meals.
Where the work teams are distributed inside the Prophet’s Mosque to collect and sort the excess of meals according to the standards of food and safety of food, to be distributed later to the beneficiaries.
During the past few days, the association contributed to the preservation of more than 15,385 yogurt packages, 15,844 water packages, 16,449 envelopes, 14,910 envelopes, and 26,101 pieces of bread, estimated at more than 15,385 meals, distributed to 7,692 beneficiaries, and the estimated cost reached 59,582 Saudi riyals.
