The anticipation of the results of the talks in the Qatari capital, Doha, prevails over the ceasefire in Gaza, especially after the American envoy to the Middle East presented Steve Wittouf a modern American proposal to extend the ceasefire agreement in Gaza for several weeks in exchange for the launch of Hamas, the release of more detainees and the resumption of humanitarian aid to Gaza, a step that the Palestinian movement rushed to describe as “aimed at jumping the agreement.”
In conjunction with the talks, the Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements in the Qatari capital, Doha, held on Thursday, talks on the course of the implementation of the agreement and repeated Israeli violations and the developments of the resumption of negotiations. According to a statement issued by the Hamas movement, the meeting was collected by the head of the leadership council of Hamas, Mohamed Darwish, with the Secretary -General of the Islamic Jihad movement, Ziyad Al -Nakala and his deputy, Muhammad al -Hindi.

On Thursday, Hamas warned of a “new famine” in the Gaza Strip due to the continued Israeli starvation policies and the failure of the international community even during the month of Ramadan. The movement’s spokesman, Abd al -Latif al -Qanoua, said in a statement that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip “suffer a strict siege for the second week, and the (Israeli) occupation prohibits the introduction of food, medicine, fuel and basic materials.” Al -Qanouk considered that what the Israeli occupation practiced is a “new starvation crime” against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
