Official sources revealed to “Hasport” that what is being circulated about Tunisia’s failure to vote in favor of Fawzi Lakja in the membership elections of the Football Association (FIFA) membership is unfounded.
The same sources indicated that Tunisia granted its voice to Fawzi Lakja, while the opposition voices were among the federations of Algeria, Angola, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Fawzi Lakjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, was re -elected as a member of the FIFA Council during the General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which was held yesterday in Cairo. This victory strengthens the site of the Graj on the African and international football scene, as it won 49 out of 52 votes, while there was one canceled paper, according to the sources of “Hasport”.

During his career in Al -Kaf, Laqaa took important tasks, most notably the presidency of the Confederation Finance Committee, in addition to his active participation in several other committees, such as the Competitions and Clubs Committee; This renewal in the membership of the FIFA Council is an affirmation of its strong presence and its influential role in developing African football.
