The electronic newspaper Hespress learned that a group of schools and institutions affiliated with the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, First Education and Sports in the province of Chefchaouen has stopped studying since last Friday, due to bad weather conditions and rain and snow that it has known for days.
According to data obtained by Hespress from local sources, the arrest of the study includes schools and educational institutions of three village groups in the sprawling region in rugged mountainous areas that penetrate the trenches and valleys.
The local sources recorded that the matter relates to schools and high schools affiliated with the various village groups in the province of Chefchaouen, including the schools in the Bab Bard district, and other groups, where the decision was taken in order to avoid the record of any accidents, especially with the presence of valleys and trenches that penetrate the villages and deeds of these areas that suffer from weakness at the level of infrastructure from roads and arches that guarantee the continuity of the movement naturally without being affected by torrents and rain The task.
The same sources confirmed that the study at the level of these groups will not be resumed until after the upcoming school holiday next week, which means that the bad weather conditions in the northern regions since last week will deprive the children of these areas of studying for more than a week compared to their colleagues in schools and other educational institutions.
On the other hand, an official source in the Regional Directorate of Education recorded that stopping studying in institutions and schools affiliated with the Chefchaouen region “remains partially, includes some educational institutions mainly in the door of cold, such as the Bani Razin and Turot group, and some institutions in the groups located in the mountainous highlands.”
The same source stated to Hespress that the decision to stop the study, which was registered today in a number of schools in the region, was based on a “thunderstorm that struck the region in the morning and made school transportation not move between villages and mills,” explaining that these decisions are taken in coordination between institutions and ideals of the authorities based on the developments that the weather situation in the region is known.
It is noteworthy that the Chefchaouen region remains alongside Tangier and Larache from the most areas of the north that witnessed rainfall in large quantities, which exceeded the outcome of the 50 millimeters, reinforcing the surface water wealth in the region, sewers and valleys, which will reflect positively on the waterbed that has declined significantly in the last dry years.
