
While reports talk about American contacts for the purpose of negotiating with Tehran, which questions Washington’s intentions, Chinese, Russian and Iranian officials in the Chinese capital, Beijing tomorrow (Friday) will hold a meeting to discuss the Iranian nuclear file.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Beijing will host a meeting (Friday) with Russia and Iran on the Iranian nuclear issue.
“We are still hoping that we can seize the limited time we have before the date of the end of the agreement in October this year, in order to reach an agreement,” the Chinese Ambassador Fu Kong told reporters, adding: “A new agreement so that the joint comprehensive work plan can be preserved.”
He pointed out that the exercise of the maximum pressure on a specific country will not achieve the goal, this came in conjunction with statements made by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqji, in which he affirmed the continuation of indirect negotiations and communication channels with European Troika.
“If Iran negotiates under the maximum pressure, it will be negotiated from a site of weakness and will not achieve any gains.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the need to prove that the policy of maximum pressure is not effective with Iran and can negotiate from an equal site, adding: Our patience is not negative and we click on the initiative, and we have a clear strategy for any possible nuclear negotiations.

He pointed out that Tehran is cooperating with the International Atomic Energy Agency and there is a proposal to resolve the outstanding issues, calling on Washington to lift the sanctions.
He stressed by saying: “The indirect negotiation is possible, and the most important is the will to negotiate and reach a fair agreement in equal conditions,” adding: “We will not enter direct negotiations except from an equal site without pressure and threats.”
A closed meeting of the UN Security Council was held late yesterday at the invitation of 6 of the 15 member states in the council, namely: the United States, France, Greece, Panama, South Korea and Britain, and discussed the prevention of nuclear proliferation, but Tehran condemned the meeting that it said was about purely technical matters that fall within the jurisdiction of the International Atomic Energy Agency only, and these issues were discussed last week at the meeting of the International Energy Agency Governor Council Atomic in Vienna.
The Iranian mission to the United Nations accused in a post on the “X” platform of the United States of seeking to use the UN Security Council as a weapon to escalate the economic war on Iran, adding: This dangerous violation must be rejected to protect the credibility of the Council.
Iran’s permanent delegate to the United Nations, Amir Said Irwani, warned that any attempt to force Tehran to reach an unfair nuclear agreement with the United States will be fate of failure, considering the Security Council meeting an unjustified intervention in the current constructive dealing between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency and that it aims to continue the policy of failed and illegal maximum pressure against Iran.
