Swedish businessman Karl Longstrom, co -founder of the Pirate Bay, died to download pirated contents, in a plane crash in Slovenia, according to an extremist right -wing party.
The Slovenian police confirmed to AFP on Wednesday that they had found a body at the scene “most likely to the Swedish pilot”, but she refused to reveal his identity pending a criminal examination.
On Monday, the small plane crashed on a wooden shelter in the mountainous Felica Planna region in northern Slovenia. Because of bad weather, rescue elements were unable to reach the site until the next day.
The “Alternative for Sweden” party announced the death of the businessman at the age of 64, describing it as a “legend” and “veteran in Swedish nationalism.”
He had launched on his Money M20 plane from Zagreb towards Zurich, according to a message posted by the party on Facebook. Karl Lesstrom was the party’s candidate in the Swedish Luther Evangelical Church elections in 2021.
He is the grandson of the founder of “Wasabröd” manufacturer for crunchy bread products.
