
The Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication announced yesterday, Wednesday, the results of the fifty -fifth session of the “Morocco Book Award” for the year 2024, within its nine branches.
The Poetry Award was awarded equally to both Idris Al -Miliani for his office, “Ghams Al -Kamama” (Somakram Publishing House), and Muhammad Aziz Al -Husaini for his office “Kgiam under the Archers” (House of Poetry/Morocco), while Saeed won the narration award for his novel “Soup with Ward” (Lines and Shadows for Publishing and Distribution).
The Humanities Award shared by Hisham Al -Rikik from his book “Al -Mallah space and Amran inspired by the Dhimma Decree” (International University of Rabat and the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco), and Samir Ait Oghar on his book “Water and City in North Africa in the Roman era” (International University of Rabat, the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco and the University of California).
The Children’s Literature Award, the Social Science Award, and the Literary, Technical and Linguistic Studies Award for
The translation award, Hassan Al -Talib, was entitled to translate the book “The Demon of theory, Literature, Lick and Registration” by Antoine Camponion, from French to Arabic, issued by “The New Book Dar”.
He also won the Award for Studies in the field of Arab Amazigh culture, Momosh, for his book “The Complex Sentence in the Amazigh, Conditions” (the Amazigh Center for Translation and Training), and the Amazigh Literature Award was granted: to Fouad Azrouwal for his story collection “Flowers do not grow in the winter” (Eastern Press and Eastern Equipment).
Both children’s literature and adolescent literature, the Social Science Award, and the Literary, Artistic and Linguistic Studies Award were blocked.
The award committees were chaired by Rahma Bourgieh, while the sub -committees were chaired by: Wafaa Al -Amrani (Poetry), Ahmed Balati (Al -Sarr), Abdul -Ilah Benmlih (Human Sciences), Muhammad Abdul -Raib Children and adolescents).
It is noteworthy that the number of books nominated for “Morocco Award for Books” in its current session reached 86 books, distributed in the following form: seven books in poetry, 24 books in narration, nine published in humanities, ten titles in social sciences, sixteen books in literary, artistic and linguistic studies, 12 authors in translation, one book in studies in the field of Amazigh culture, and two authors in literature Amazigh, five titles in children’s literature and adolescents.
