The battles between the Sudanese army and the rapid support forces continue in several axes in the capital, Khartoum, in addition to the states of North Kordofan and the White Nile, amid the continued progress of the army in Al -Fasher and the expansion of its control over strategic locations there, while the African Union warned of the danger of “dividing” Sudan after the formation of a parallel government.
In the center of the center of Khartoum, the army is seeking to completely control the center of the capital, including the presidential palace and sovereign government facilities.
In the East Nile axis, the army completed its control over my bridges, Al -Mansheya and Soba, linking the city of Khartoum to the west and the eastern Nile region, east of Khartoum.
Local sources told the island that two people were killed, one of whom was a child in the shelling of the Rapid Support Forces on the city of Al -Abyad, the capital of North Kordofan.
In the Blue Nile State, the army announced its control of a number of cities and towns in the state.
In Al -Fasher, sources told Al -Jazeera that clashes between the army and the forces allied with it on the one hand, and rapid support on the other hand, in several areas of the city.
For his part, the military media in Al -Fasher said that the Sudanese army, backed by the joint forces, extended its control over strategic locations in the city, and lost rapid support its ability to implement its war plans.
Accusations
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the “Sudan Liberation Movement”, Al -Sadiq, accused the rapid support forces of committing a crime of genocide and forced displacement, killing civilians, including women, children, and elderly, as well as systematic looting, and burning villages, in the “long” locality, west of Al -Fasher, the capital of the state of North Darfur.
This, according to the spokesman, complicated the humanitarian situation with more displacement and forced displacement, in an attempt to achieve political gains.
African warning
This comes at a time when the African Union expressed yesterday, Wednesday, “deep concern” as a result of the rapid support forces and its allies forming a parallel government in Sudan, warning that the move threatens to “divide” the country where a war has been taking place for more than two years.
In a statement, the bloc denounced “the declaration of the rapid support forces and the associated political and social forces, to form a parallel government in the Republic of Sudan,” and said that it does not recognize it, warning that this step represents a “huge threat to dividing the country.”
The African Union called on all its member states, as well as the international community, to “not recognize any parallel government or entity aimed at dividing the Republic of Sudan or its institutions and the rule of part of its territory.”
The Union renewed its adherence to the African Road Map to solve the Sudanese crisis adopted by the Council in May 2023.
On Tuesday, the European Union stated in a statement that the parallel government threatens the Sudanese democratic aspirations, in a similar position with a statement issued by the UN Security Council last week.
The Rapid Support Forces and its allies in Nairobi signed a “founding charter”, according to which they expressed their intention to form a “peace and unity government” in the areas they control.
They also pledged to “build a decentralized democratic civil state based on freedom, equality and justice, without any cultural, ethnic, religious or regional bias.”
In early March, the parties themselves fell again in Nairobi as a “transitional constitution”.
The fighting has been taking place between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces since April 2023, leaving a huge humanitarian crisis, as more than 12 million people have been displaced from their areas, and United Nations agencies face difficulties in delivering humanitarian aid.
