The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) praised the shooting operation, which took place near the “Ariel” settlement in the Salfit area in the north of the West Bank, and resulted in a settler, while six Palestinians were injured in confrontations with the occupation forces west of Bethlehem, amid a massive arrests campaign southwest of Jenin.
The movement said – in a statement – that the operation comes in the context of the continuous response to the Israeli aggression, especially in the northern West Bank, and an affirmation that the resistance will not calm down as long as the occupation and its crimes continue.
Hamas called for more painful operations against the occupation, according to the statement.

A settler was wounded on Wednesday evening in a shooting near the Ariel settlement in the Salfit area, in the northern West Bank.
According to the Israeli channel 14, the army pushed reinforcements to the Ariel settlement, and its forces mobilized in search of the attacker.
Local sources told Al -Jazeera that the occupation forces closed the entrances to a number of Palestinian towns in Salfit Governorate, and deployed in search and combing operations of the shooting operation.
