After days of bloody tensions, life is gradually returning to the entire areas of the Syrian coast, with the spread of more government security forces in the tension areas, and a gradual return to the population fleeing their areas, while government officials inspected the region.
The people of Al -Qusour neighborhood in the coastal city of Baniyas began returning to their homes, after the deployment of the public security forces, to extend security and protect citizens and their property, after the recent events that started with the attacking of the regime’s remnants, and resulted in the result of the killing of hundreds of people, from military and civilians.
The returnees expressed their satisfaction with the presence of the General Security Forces, and they stressed their standing with the Syrian state in its efforts to maintain security and prevent any sabotage. They also expressed their satisfaction with the return of basic services such as the availability of bread and the return of commercial shops, demanding the speedy return of electricity and water.
Besides the city of Banias, groups of the Public Security Forces have deployed in the village of Parmeya in Banias countryside to control security and secure the return of the residents to it. The governor of Tartous, Ahmed Al -Shami, called on the people of the province to return to their homes after the end of the military operations, pointing out that the city is witnessing a gradual return of normal life.
This coincided with the visit of the Minister of Interior Ali Keda, Lattakia Governorate, and his arrival at the Criminal Security Branch in the governorate to inspect the security reality, and to develop plans to maintain the stability of the region. Before that, he visited the Al -Da`our neighborhood in Lattakia Governorate, which witnessed security events, and met some dignitaries and notables in the region to check on their conditions and listen to their complaints.
The Public Security Department received a quantity of various weapons, as a result of a prior agreement with the dignitaries of Al -Dawaour neighborhood, to limit the weapons only in the hands of the state, which contributes to the consolidation of security and the establishment of stability. It also inspected the police department in the city of Jableh, to assess the damage, after the remnants of the defunct regime’s remnants, and to identify the field to the security situation, and the extent of the department’s ability and readiness to confront all security situations.
For its part, Lattakia Governorate announced the establishment of a consolation ceremony for the victims of the recent events that witnessed the regions of the Syrian coast, from the security men, the army and civilians, at the Houria Mosque and the Imam Al -Hussein Mosque in Damzrko.
The governorate stated in its official website that the ceremony will be held from the date of today, Wednesday, one o’clock in the afternoon until four in the afternoon, and will continue for three days, as the goat will be received, to offer condolences to the families of the victims, and expressed their condolences to their families.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights had documented in a preliminary report, yesterday, Tuesday, the killing of 803 people, during the attacks in the Syrian coast regions between 6 and 10 of this month, stressing that about half of the victims fell by the remnants of the ousted regime, while the rest were killed in security and military operations, carried out by the government forces or the factions that supported them.
Today, the Syrian Civil Defense announced that its teams continue to recover the bodies and provide vital humanitarian services in Lattakia and Tartous. The Civil Defense said, in a report published through its official knowledge, that its teams recovered 26 bodies, including 9 in Banias and 17 in the countryside of Latakia, where it was documented and transferred to the legal medicine according to the principles. He added that his teams postponed 6 families, five of which were from Baniyas and one from Jableh, at their request. The teams also contributed to opening roads, removing burning cars, and returning cement breaks, as well as supporting volunteer teams in the deportation of garbage in Tartous.
The firefighting teams also responded to three fires, two of which erupted in the bushes, while the third fire was agricultural, and the damage was limited to material losses. The ambulance teams also dealt with 34 cases, including the transfer of injured people, transfers between hospitals, and dealing with emergency cases, according to the report.
