
Students of the Faculty of Dentistry in Casablanca entered into escalating steps in protest against what they described as “ignoring the administration their legitimate demands, after months of peaceful attempts to reach solutions to no avail.”
And the students of the College of Dentistry expressed this afternoon, Wednesday, in a protest, their refusal to continue to ignore their demands, stressing that this directly affects their professional future and the health of citizens.
They confirm that the existing problems lie in the lack of basic medical equipment and materials, and the lack of rehabilitation of the dental examination and treatment center, in addition to the weak clinical training sessions.
The angry protesters in the dental examination and treatment center recorded that “the situation remains disastrous, in exchange for the approach of the deaf ears policy from the administration”, and they demanded through the slogans that were raised by the administration to respond to their demands and implement the contents of the meetings and agreements concluded, in order to quality training for the benefit of dental students.
In their standing, the students affirmed that they may take more escalating steps in the event of the continued method of the administration, “and the continued marginalization of the training” they are asking.
One of the dental students explained that what prompted them to take this positivist step on which the dental examination and treatment center had become, “which has become a miserable.”
Moaz Al -Shazly, one of the protesting students, in his statement to Hespress, registered that “the officials have to intervene in order to save the center from the catastrophic situation and implement the promises that were made, in the service of citizens and enabling students to create a good formation.”
The same spokesman stressed that the aforementioned center “does not meet the conditions of medicine, as the necessary medicines and equipment are absent,” stressing that the equipment and materials used by them are “expired”, while “many students have allergic disease because of their use of this equipment, which highlights that the situation in the bottom is due to neglect,” and expressing his condemnation and the rest of his colleagues this situation.
The concerned students, responsible for the dental examination and treatment center, demands to move in order to save the situation and achieve the demands that have been raised.
According to a statement issued by the students, a strike was launched by suspending the hospital training for two weeks, starting last Monday.
The students also stressed that they retain the right to take other escalatory measures if the administration continues to ignore their demands, holding the concerned authorities fully responsible for the current situation.
