Entrepreneurs in a symposium organized by the regional coordinator of the National Rally of Independents Party in Agadir stressed the issue of “high prices in Morocco … causes and ways to achieve economic stability”, the importance of enhancing monitoring mechanisms, supporting national production and stimulating investment as “basic pillars to face these challenges, with the need to expand social protection programs to ensure the purchasing power of citizens and enhance economic stability.”
The intellectual symposium that came within the framework of the activities of the third edition of the “Free Ramadan”, witnessed the discussion of the factors leading to the high prices, the most prominent of which is “global economic transformations and high production and transportation costs, in addition to climate repercussions and the effects of speculation in the markets.”
The symposium was focused on Youssef Jibah, President of the Agricultural Chamber of Souss Massa, Fouad Benalali, President of the Central Atlantic Fishing Chamber, Hisham Al -Qaisouni, University Professor, and Hassan Shatbi, Chairman of the National Authority for Consumer Protection Associations.
According to the organizer, this symposium comes within the framework of “the commitment of the National Rally of Independents to keep pace with the current economic and social issues, and its keenness to provide practical solutions that support development and protect the interests of citizens in light of the accelerated economic changes.”
