Friday afternoon, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces was held in the General Directorate of delivery and delivery ceremony, between the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Imad Othman, and was succeeded by Major General Raed Abdullah, in the presence of the Lebanese Minister of Interior Ahmed Al -Hajar.
In a speech to him, Major General Othman said: “After more than forty years, I proudly spent it in serving my beloved municipality, Lebanon through the Institutional Security Forces Foundation, which formed my big family.
He added: “We did not fail or retreat one day or escape from our responsibilities, despite all the circumstances that surrounded us in the Foundation of the Internal Security Forces. Outside and in vain to the Lebanese villages, cities and regions, and our keenness to keep our institution- which is the most ancient among the institutions of the state- to remain a tall stand that plays its leadership role as it has become over the years, thanks to the elite of its officers and its heroic elements, and our denial of ourselves for the sake of the security of Lebanon and the Lebanese.
For his part, Major General Abdullah said: “Now, and the opportunity to start starting with a new stage, and a new era, is the era of President Joseph Aoun and a new government, which is the government of President Nawaf Salam, so there is no return back, it is the era of reform and there is no room to waste more time and time. Difficult, transparent, and fighting corruption.
He pointed out that “our confidence in the homeland and the ability of its people to rise is firm, and our directives in the Internal Security Forces will remain based on openness to citizens, and to find bridges of communication that make us a partner for them, not a characteristic, so security remains a common responsibility between us.”
Abdullah added: “Lebanon is facing great challenges today. The Israeli. In all of these crises, the elements of the internal security forces were on the ground and among the people to help them.
He continued: “But the crises were datched at the least of this institution, and the last of the remainder of the elements is revealed to the tolerance, and the elements lived in a different rank in the nightmare of the poverty. To restore the right of the elements who lived in the two things, in a decent life that qualifies them again to complete their duties. The homeland, away from political hands and interests. “
Abdullah stressed, “I will work hard to fight corruption, and the prosecution will include everyone. There is no cover or immunity to anyone. I will work hard to fight drugs, terrorism and crime, by cooperating with all Lebanese security services, and in particular the leadership of the Lebanese army. Cooperation with our Arab and international partners in order to help us in facing all challenges. “
In turn, Al -Hajar said: “The internal security forces, this ancient national institution, which are rooted in the history of Lebanon, have grown men, accommodations and competencies that had the upper hand in preserving Lebanon’s security and stability.”
He stressed that “security is not a coincidence or individual personality, but rather a coherent series of perseverance, effort and hard work, which leads a distinguished security service, a cumulative and eligible cumulative confidence, and an active and sustainable partnership with society and citizens, so it is not strange that the slogan of the Internal Security Forces is a service, confidence, partnership.”
